RULES
I Standard rules for chess piece movement apply.
II. Set up chess pieces in stardard start position on the bottom level.
III. All pieces may transfer from one level to the other level, from any square on any level.
IV. All pieces may capture on the transfer move.
V. Transferring from level to level.
A. The piece transferring must do so at the beginning of the move. The piece can not move squares and then transfer.
B. The square directly above or below the square occupied by the piece transferring is known as the transfer square.
C. The piece transferring must go directly up or down to the transfer square.
D. If the transfer square is occupied by a team member, the transfer can not take place.
E. If the transfer square is occupied by the opponent's piece, the opponent's piece will be captured on the transfer move.
F. The Knight is the only exception to the occupied transfer square rule. The Knight may transfer no matter what piece occupies the transfer square.
1. The Knight can not stay on the transfer square.
2. The Knight can capture when it lands.
G. Number of squares a piece can move after transferring in the same turn.
1. The piece tansferring will lose 1/2 of the maximun number of squares the piece can move for that turn only.
2. The King can still move 1 square after transfering.
3. The Knight is the only piece required to move off the transfer square.
4. Do not count the transfer square as a square moved.

6. PAWN IN HOME POSITION CAN TRANSFER UP AND CAPTURE EITHER BY TAKING ON THE TRANSFER SQUARE OR BY MOVING 1 SQUARE DIAGONALLY.
7. The piece transferring has full power on the next turn.
VI. Check or Ckeckmate may occur by pieces not on the same level.
